Director, IT Infrastructure & Security

SUMMARY:
This position will provide IT Infrastructure vision and leadership, and importantly drive migration and transformation of the IT infrastructure to cloud technologies to reduce cost and improve business agility. This is a key leadership role within the IT organization and interfaces closely with internal stakeholders, executive management and internal department heads. Establishment of strong vendor relationships, contracts and cost structures is critical to this role. The role will ensure that key metrics are provided to measure internal and external service levels to provide reliable infrastructure services; including server, data storage and archive, network, telecommunications, disaster recovery, and technical support services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversight of data networks, circuits, telecom, network security, servers, storage, & backup solutions
- Manage a mix of long-term & short-term projects with a high degree of flexibility and effective delegation
- Experience managing co-location relationships with heavy emphasis on Outsourcing relationships with hands on experienced in managing outsource partners like (Tata, Wipro, etc.).
- Lead the design and delivery of projects supporting cloud strategy, data center moves/closures
- Responsible for cost-effective management of cloud services including AWS and Microsoft Azure platforms, and on-premises data centers and computer rooms
- Manages production change control board & ensures compliance with company’s information security policy
- Participates in troubleshooting of operational systems and network-related components and software
- Periodically monitors production jobs, backup processes, system monitoring and server availability and provides solutions working with all groups impacted
- Manage a disaster recovery plan in support of an overall business continuity program
- Responsible for compliance as it relates to PCI, SOX and other security related solutions
- Ensures all critical systems operate efficiently, safely and in accordance with Service Level Agreement (SLA) s and industry best practices
- Assist in the planning, preparation, development and successful execution of departmental budgets. Including managing, reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts
- Drives integrated global teams to deliver business process and technology solutions in support of key internal initiatives by working closely with stakeholders, architects, developers and vendors
- Vendor performance & compliance monitoring & managing new vendor acquisition including RFI, RFP, etc.
- Designs & executes technology standards for hardware & software resulting in a dependable IT infrastructure
- Actively promotes the core values of the company within the organization
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, business management or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years leading design and support of enterprise-level IT infrastructures
- Practical knowledge of ITIL application processes and implementation
- Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI Compliance and/or key controls pertaining to IT infrastructure mgmt
- Ability to provide and drive data collection needs for various annual Corporate Audits: SOX, PCI, etc
- Experience with best of breed infrastructure solutions and cloud transformation and experience in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Cloud services and related cloud technologies.
- Leadership experience in data center management and network management and upgrade
- Exposure to an Outsourced/Managed IT environment
- Experience in a 24x7 multi-unit Retail operations would be a plus
