Inventory Control Lead: 2nd Shift

SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Inventory Clerk / Shift Lead is responsible for conducting daily cycle counts, including, but not be limited to review of daily shorts, damages, inventory rotation and quality issues. This individual must have strong math skills, as they will be responsible for maintaining records of inventory counts, where accuracy is critical.
RESPONSIBILITIES /DUTIES:
- Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories.
- Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity.
- Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis.
- Lead and train staff within department.
- Works safely and follows all safety rules and attends safety meetings and training.
- Adheres to workplace policies.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Work flexibly in terms of time to suit the needs of the business including necessary overtime.
- Operates machinery efficiently and safely
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Required Experience/ Skills/Knowledge:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2- 3 years warehousing and inventory experience
- Working knowledge of warehouse inventory system
Preferred Experience/ Skills/Knowledge:
Retail Experience a plus
