Sr Director of Total Rewards

Summary
As a direct report to the Chief People Officer, this key leader will lead the design, implementation, and communication of 99's Total Rewards philosophy, strategy, programs, and initiatives for the enterprise that align to strategic goals of the company. This dynamic game changing leader will partner with key HR Sr Leadership in harvesting a high performing culture by rewarding, attracting and retaining talent. This ideal candidate is a change leader who thrives on continuous improvement within in an entrepreneurial environment to support the growth of the organization
Duties & Responsibilities
- Must have deep experience in the implementation and management of executive compensation programs.
- Ability to lead and build an organization of highly skilled and talented compensation professionals.
- Design and implement a total rewards strategy inclusive of compensation, benefits and wellness, rewards and recognition, and a framework, including but not limited to compensation salary structure, job evaluation framework, and FLSA exemption reviews.
- Design executive compensation plans (incentive plans and equity strategy/equity design) for a pre-IPO company and or managing executive compensation for a public company.
- Act as a consultant to the business on compensation issues such as compensation analyses, total compensation review, merit, equity, compression, and related compensation issues.
- Act as a strategic partner in job architecture and build processes that drive role clarity and organizational design.
- Oversee the process of the use of compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company’s competitive position within the marketplace.
- Lead a team to implement and maintain a new Human Capital Management System that uses compensation planning tools, to drive best practice, world class discipline around compensation practices.
- Design and manage a comprehensive benefits and wellness strategies and programs for the enterprise with the support of brokers and vendors.
- Oversee administration of organization’s various employee benefit and wellness programs.
- Oversee all federal, state, and local compliance, filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee benefit programs.
- Provide strategic leadership to ensure benefits strategy aligns with company values that will attract, engage and retain top talent for the organization.
- Design and implement creative rewards and recognition programs and engagement strategies to drive high performance, engagement and retention.
- Oversee annual compensation and bonus planning review.
- Prepare materials and presentations for Board of Directors meetings.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of HR experience with a specific emphasis in Compensation, Rewards, Perks and Benefits.
- PHR/SPHR Certification required.
- Experience in using market and industry intelligence in the designing of total rewards programs for exempt and non-exempt populations.
- Experience with benefit renewals and RFPs for medical, dental, vision, voluntary options and retirement plans.
- Strong vendor management experience and skills.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Strong business acumen.
- Excellent change management, project management and ability to succeed in a collaborative but complex fast paced environment.
- High Degree of motivation, flexibility and creativity.
- Consultative approach – can effectively solicit feedback and adapt to change.
- Implementation of a Human Capital Management system is a plus.
