Senior Director – Compensation

SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
This key Senior Director will lead the design, implementation, and communication of 99's Total Rewards philosophy, programs, and initiatives for field, distribution, and corporate.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and implement a compensation strategy and framework, including but not limited to compensation salary and structure, job evaluation framework, and FLSA exemption reviews.
- Act as a consultant to the business on compensation issues such as compensation analyses, total compensation review, merit, equity, compression, and related compensation issues
- Lead a team of compensation and HRIS professionals to ensure team has a thorough understanding of the business strategy as it relates to the compensation strategy
- Act as a strategic partner in job architecture work to support role clarity and organizational design
- Participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information to determine company's competitive position
- Partner with HRIS team to implement and maintain compensation planning tools
- Manage all federal, state, and local compliance, filings, reports, and audits related to the administration of employee benefit programs
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
X Bachelor’s Degree
- 10+ years of overall HR experience with 7+ years of experience focused in Compensation design and management preferably from the retail industry or organization with sizable multi-units/states operations
- Minimum 10 years previous HR/Compensation leadership experience
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
- Experience in gathering market and industry intelligence and designing total rewards programs for exempt and non-exempt populations
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Experience defining compensation for various functions, exempt and non-exempt, in various regions
