Sr, Inventory Control Manager

SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
Manager will be charged with overseeing and coordinating all inventory control functions for the distribution centers while partnering with supply chain and DC operations to identify opportunities for improvement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, train and develop a team of inventory control specialists in 3 distribution centers, 1 warehouse, as well as the primary consult for 1 distribution center in Katy, TX.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts throughout.
- Act as a liaison between logistics department and buyers to determine obsolete stock while optimizing inventory turnover.
- Maintain, monitor and improve Inventory Control methodologies.
- Oversee the processing of goods for return to vendor.
- Work with Operations and Asset Protection to minimize shrink and scrap/waste in the distribution centers and warehouse.
- Track the flow of all seasonal product within season.
- Act as a liaison between logistics department and internal and external auditors.
- Report on inventory activities and variances.
- Conduct daily analyses to forecast potential inventory issues.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
- Well Organized, Detail Oriented, & able to Handle Fast Paced Work Environment
- Ability to support team environment and build strong team
- Excellent leadership ability
- Proven organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Strong attention to detail, planning and organization
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge of forecasting methods
- Ability to foster strong partnerships and communications processes in both warehouse and retail environments.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or 5 years of technical experience in the field of inventory control.
Certification Required:
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required: (Please List)
- Having High Jump WMS knowledge is a plus
- SQL experience a plus.
